The Pleasant Valley Free Library is selling three items that might be of interest. The old wooden sign that had hung over the front entrance to the Manse for the past forty years or so, becoming interestingly weathered during that period, will be replaced soon with a new aluminum sign. We think that you might be interested in the old one, which simply says "Pleasant Valley Library." If you have a few books of your own, as readers of this blog are likely to possess, then the sign might work in your own library, although it is rather large (about nine feet long). If you are interested, look under "Collectibles" in the Hudson Valley edition of Craig'slist.
We have for some time relied completely on computers for locating books, so the old card files are available for purchase. They are handy for storing craft materials or anything that will fit in rather long, narrow drawers. The two we have left are also on Craig'slist under "Furniture--sold by owner."
