You might be interested in seeing how the Pleasant Valley Free Library compares with this trend. If we take as a base our five years from 1998 through 2002, the circulation in the following five years (20003-07) increased by 80.44%. More recently, the 2008 circulation was 13.38% higher than the average year in the 2008-07 period.

The increase doesn't surprise me at all. I'm glad that your library is not going to see a reduction in staff to deal with the increase. Hopefully the expansion plans won't be put on hold for long.
