Donate Effortlessly and for Free

Thanks to Jonathan Meyer of Meyer Construction, a friend of the Pleasant Valley Free Library, we now have another fundraiser, one that will be ongoing.  An outfit called www.goodsearch.com has as its business plan getting people to use it for searches and donating money to a favorite charity every time someone uses it.  I assume that it makes money the way Google does, by selling ads, but the sample searches I did were useful even if the products I found were items for sale.  The key to having money donated to the Library is to identify on the lower window (beneath "Who do you search for?") the charity Pleasant Valley (NY) Library Building Fund.  You don't have to type the whole thing--when you start to type, a drop-down will give you this as one option.  The other option is simply Pleasant Valley Free Library.  Either way, the donation will be gratefully accepted.
